Bellport, NY Bellport, NY $18 an hour $18 an hour 10 days ago 10 days ago 10 days ago What You'll Do As a Maintenance Tech for HELP USA's Suffolk shelter for families experiencing homelessness, you'll help provide our residents a clean and well-maintained living space that feels as much like home as possible during their stay with us.
Your daily responsibilities will include preparing apartments for turnover (painting, carpentry, flooring, and cleaning including bathroom fixtures and kitchen appliances), grounds maintenance, snow removal, garbage and trash disposal, and other maintenance-related related repairs and activities for the site.
You'll be successful if you:
Can lift 75 pounds.
Can operate small machinery, power tools, and hand tools.
Have prior maintenance experience including painting, light carpentry, and basic plumbing.
It would be great (but not required) if you have:
Some basic knowledge of wiring, boilers, and HVAC systems.
